Our daughter is in the back on the rock and roll. Fitted a 3 point belt using an adapter from a guy called davidoft on the late bay

Trying not to hijack this thread, but might be usefull for other folks on here too, and this is exactly what I`m thinking of too. Not for a tiny tiny baby, but for the neice`s little ones, around seven and ten years old. Wouldn`t be a bad idea for other bigger peeps in the back to wear belts as well. I wanted to order some custom belts from Seat Belt Planet I think they`re called, so because of this and the front ones just are not at all comfy and quite restrictive although they`re newish but maybe a bit cheapo, they tend to tighten up as you drive along, just tight enough to gently strangle you :shock: So I want all new custom to match the van, three for the back and two for the front and maybe another to go around my Rusty lee fold up rear seat behind the passenger 8)
So the fronts are fairly straight forward, but the rears :? I`m guessing order those two extensions off of the fella on the Late Bay, but how long do you order the belts for the rear ? does anyone know ? The centre lap belt shouldn`t be too hard but I`d like the length for the other two if anyone has them, including enough to use the extensions and to get around regular sized peeps and a baby carrying doo dah on the odd occasion :mrgreen:

I used a securon 500/W and it fitted fine around the car seat, plenty big enough for adults. The W means it's a webbing buckle so longer than a stalk and fits nicely through the R&R bed. It's worth asking davidoft on TLB about the brackets, I think there may be a problem when fitting them onto the fuel filler side on an early. Here's his thread: http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/uber-rare-rear-3-point-inertia-seatbelt-bracket.18366/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I use a 3 point and the same bracket to raise the reel as illustrated above by 67weaty.
And for my daughter I used a seat base that can be buckled in with a lap belt only.

Same as, easy and worth while doing. :)

We went isofix, here's the bracket before it was painted :- got it of eBay and had it welded up nicely so it would mount over the existing seat belt mount holes, works a treat and doesn't interfere with the bed action. If you need any more photos of it in the van then let me know. :).

I don't have pics as the bus is currently away in winter storage, but my 3 year old goes in a "big" car seat on the rear bench with a 3-point seatbelt next to the missus who is on a lap-belt, my 7 year old rides shotgun up front next to me on a booster on a 3-point belt.

Hi All,

We sell the Brackets David makes too:

https://www.vwheritage.com/shop/211857693L/seat-belt-bracket-for-t2-baywindow-rear-left/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you then use our Front Inertia Belts it all fits lovely.

Hope this helps,
