Hi all, I've just recovered my tailgate panel in vinyl, and I'm now steuggking to get it back in, the clips don't seem to hold it, surely the thickness off a piece of vinyl wouldn't make it to thick for the clips? Can you get longer ones?

Are you struggling to get the clips back in the panel or struggling to fix the panel to the van?
You should push onto the clip where it should go in the rubber and feel it pop in. The vinyl thickness should not be a problem unless maybe you have a very thick double layer of vinyl. My panels were reupholstered and had no problems, except for the repro clips breaking very easily.

I'm struggling to fit the panel to the van, should there be rubber grommets then? What size thickness is the ply? I'm wondering if mine is to thick?

There should be rubber grommets yes. Also you might have 7mm holes for your clips where latter ones are 9mm. 7mm very expensive 9mm third of the price.

Just drill the holes out and fit 9mm if you aren't bothered.

Is it the size of the hole that is stopping you from getting it in? Ok, that sounds weird........

Ha ha ha!!! yeah the holes to big mate, perhaps il get some rubbers!!

The clips push in but when I move along to the next one they just keep popping out, was fine before I took the ply off to recover.
