you might have a dormy roof but those units are Devon......resident devon expert "Johnny"
will let you know which one (some of it is the same as my moonraker units)

yer thats just like it i just need to decided whether to keep it or replace it with a rock and roll bed and some subs lol

Angus.....not doorbell....converted the hand pump to electric...gotta get that kettle on pronto...

Nice interior as is but someone on EB was after the bed system, i had been in the same frame of mind on mine!
but ended up selling as it was originally. think r&r is a viable opt though

Sell on eBay, and suprise yourself! Hundreds, Id say ;)

Looks very similiar to a Devon Caravette interior to me and they do go for quite good money if they haven't delaminated from the usual leaky Devon roof. Think it's a moonraker though :?

Here's the interior in my 68.

Hi ChilledHippie.

Nice interior 8) , its a moonraker interior i think, as the caravette has a seat bottom and a water filler on the door side (RHD), moonraker had a swing out cooker but this does vary to a fold down unit. It could be a sunlander like haz says similar to the moonraker, but the coolbox would be under the bench seat and not under the sink like the moonraker so its hard to tell from your pics.

Its in resonable condition and you have all the parts except the overhead locker doors and rear overengine compartment drawers? complete devon interiors can fetch well over £500, which would buy a decent R&R bed and some serious ICE 8)

cheers for you help, i do have the draws for the back engine bit if these are these what you mean.... i also have another unit that has another coolbox type unit with a yellow top i also have another 4-6 cusions and a load of table type things.

if the cool box is under the rear bench seat its definitely a sunlander. 1970-71 was sunlander and i think it was stoppped after that.

Your leaky devon roof may hve been replaced with a better dormy one by a previous owner?

Hi Chilledhippie. :D

I'm fairly sure your van did start out as a Dormy. The interior lights are in the correct positions for a Dormy for example. Have a look on the lower edge or side of your dashboard below the fresh air vent by the passenger door. Dormobiles usually had a badge riveted in that area. If there is no badge maybe the holes are still there?

I would agree. Theres a few holes in the metal that make sense too.

The biggest clue to me though is the way the roof and its finishing strips and reinforcement bars have been fitted. I cant see somebody going to those lengths to replace a devon roof.

It looks to me like it was originally a Dormy that has had its interior stripped out.

Does the passenger seat still have a cooker behind it or the metal plate to allow for the cooker? At the very least there should be the holes in the seat bulkhead where the cooker and gas supply were fitted.

Hiya yer there are holes in the bulk head so maybe the cooker was there because its not there now so i guess it was lost at some point when i got it the gas tap run from the back to just befor the sliding door so i assume thats were the cooker was for a while?? i still dont know whether to selll whats left of this interior or not....
