Sprintstar update! After dragging around our Sprintstar 5 lug wheel sample to the major VW shows this season we can see this wheel gets a lot of positive reactions! Most people are so happy they can drive the real steel wheels from the past at a affordable price any time soon…

Prices are known now, at 125 euro for the chrome edition, and 100 euro for the grey edition, stupid 21% Belgium sale tax included!

Today, however, we got our sample from the centercap… after 500 try outs from as much as different company’s to produce something look-a-like in plastic, alu, billet whats-o-ever, its us, here at BBT, that set the final step of the serious reproduction, pressed chrome steel like it should, with the nice bump stamps to keep one and another on place, perfection to our eyes… the only way we can live with it and sleep well at night… in die hard BBT philosophy….

The BBT GT legend is born… just spread the word…. delivery date for the BBT GT sprintstar wheels is still Mid October 2009…. stay tuned.

Do you work for BBT from Belgium then Harry?

Oh no, not related to BBT in anyway, but i thought some of you guys might be interested in these beautys.
This info comes from there blog http://blog.bbt4vw.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
BBT is taking pre orders right now, and they come a few different sizes :D

I like
What sizes will they be in?
What makes these better than those already on the market?

For the size you have to call them or sent them a mail (i think it was 4.5 and 5.5 wide)
They look better then the alu repros!
And the price is rocking too

Hope there testing goes well. Looks a nice wheel for £425 a set, would look awesome with some redwalls rapped around them :)

I heard rumour of these ages ago .... I like!

Ill bin my alloys ... theyll be worthless when these come out!

Ok i looked at these with Great interest at the weekend at Spa , AND before anybody goes firing there cash off they look a tad off to me . I have two sets a chrome set an a painted set , which my bus currently wears . Both are OG . Now the BBT stampings look slightly off to me what i mean to say is the one side of the inner rim spokes is longer /more rounded than the other .

Check em against a OG set and you will see What i mean BUT check em before you buy em............

Gadget :?

Hard to tell from a picture, you have to see them "live" before you buy them like gadget says.
It may not be a problem for someone who knows that he is buying repro anyway!, but i will check them out before i buy them.

dood!! dont you dare! the Rostyles look way better and the herd doesnt need to be followed! ;)

As usual all the best looking wheels come in 205pcd, think i'm going to bite the bullet and get some 112 - 205 adapters to use on my '71

yeah...i see what you mean easy..... you copy cat!!!! ;) nice looking rims btw.... just need to source yourself some OG chrome caps!!

maybe i'll keep the SAs and get a set of the BBTs as well just as a winter wheel!!!!

i kind of hear what deano is saying that they dont look quite right... but in my mind... they look a damn sight better (and cheaper) than flat fours.... and the pressed steel wheel has always been a period favourite over alloys for me any day!

i do see the this potentially bringing the price of OG sprints down though..... good? bad? not sure! :?

;) Getting some in a month or 2. These wheels are sweet and i have been after a decent set for ages. Scott Wilson comes through again! huzza! ;)

I really dont mind sprints but i must say that they are now everywhere, which is a real shame. Hey ho tho, still look cool but just overdone imo.
