Just kampers late calliper conversion

Hi all has anyone used or done this conversion I hear it's pretty much like for like

Yep. Did this a few years back. All pretty straightforward and worth doing as early parts become more difficult to get hold of.

Lol I heard you have to grid the caliper a little or is that just with standard wheels

Nope I have stock steels on mine and its fine. No rubbage at all

I had to grind a bit off both calipers on mine ! I think it's just the luck of the draw on the caliper casting process, only took a few mm off - could be done with a file

Why bother? Recon early ones are only £52 exchange.

Later ones use thicker, easier to come by pads though.

Early pads were on the shelf in my local gsf when I needed them at the weekend....
