tells a story doesn`t it. So most earlybay members who could went to dubs at the castle? or laid on the floor changing a gearbox for the third time in 10 days    why won`t it just run properly :msn4:
Congrats to all the folk involved in DATC you do a splendid job and i`m well gutted i missed it. Best show of the year in my humble opinion

We were so close to going as it is only down the road and we havent been to a show for a while BUT I just kept remembering what last year was like and it was £15 on the gate and the weather wasnt great... So no chavjam for me. DATC looked new and interesting

I went to Bug Jam. I didnt make Friday due to work/family/oil issues  but Saturday was one of the best Bug Jams Ive had in many years.
The racing was superb with the OFF in attendance and watching Russ Fellows run consistent 9's in his VWDRC car was aewsome.
I picked up a couple of nice purchases and enjoyed wandering the trade.
The T2D bus build of a very cool Early Bay was good to watch progress over the weekend and resulted in a great bus - check their blog.
Saturday night was a good atmosphere - we wandered amongst mates camps till we watched Dodgy on the main stage and then kicked back till the early hours.

Sunday was a monumental washout due to rain but in general, for me, BJ was brill.

There were a load of EB'ers there. Gadget Boys camp had a fine selection ;) who all entered show n shine, but there are problems in lining up there really due to the size and crowds - its a weekend for doing your own thing, I reckon.

I took a few pics, but not enought to post up to represent the weekend, it just wasnt that sort of gig for me. :)

Last year I was underwhelmed by it, and only went this year to confirm my thoughts - however, as it is, I reckon Ill go back again. FWIW Ive been going since 1991, so Ive seen the 'changes'.

Saturday was good, but as Clem says, Sunday was a nightmare with the weather and it took us 5 hours queueing to get out of club camping which kind of spoilt the weekend for me :( . I'm surprised no fights broke out ( it really did come close too) as there was no marshalling at all.
Probably going to stay local next year.

yeah i was there, arrived Friday afternoon then left early Sunday to avoid the rain that was due and the queues (drove straight out no probs).

Dude, I think I saw you at the entrance, your bus is awesome! (did I see Bret Hawksbee in the back?).

I did Bug Jam from Friday from 4:30’ish till 2:30’ish on Saturday, then drove down to South Wales to
Dubs at the Castle arriving at the show at about 5’ish. Had an excellent time at both shows.

Cheers mate, yep it was my bus you saw we were waiting as you pulled up, no Brett in the back though, just his double :)

I took my Syncro, so had great fun in the mus without the worry of the shiny bay getting damaged.

bug Jam is definately a week end to do your own thing.

went to bug jam for first time this year, went for the day on sat, must admit that i was VERY dissappointed by it, poor autojumble, not as many trade stands as expected, not as many vws as expected, although there were some very cool vdubs there. on the plus side enjoyed the drag racing and stunt/monster truck shows. will i go next year? dont reckon so, if i do it will be on impulse.

i went, my first bug jam since 1990. went with the long sutton boys (they all speak very highly of you scott, and i think i went to bugjam 1990 with your brother?), had a great time, will probably go next year, even hit 60 mph on the way home!

We did Bugjam for the first time and we had a fantastic time, arrived Friday at 6 and managed to get good camping by the run off area at the end of the banking. The racing on Saturday was superb, was great to see my mates bro's Scooby engined bug running low 10's all day  and everyone in the pits was really nice putting up with my pointing and dribbling
We partyed well into the small hours, and left when on Sunday about 1, waited an hour to get out so not too bad.
The only thing that I saw and didn't like was some REALLY messy camping areas (no dubs in these areas.....go figure!)
Definatly will be there next year, a place to really let your hair down 8) 8)

Only managed 3 pics myself (all blurrred  )

loads of pics on http://www.vwbug.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
reckon he liked the dancers?!

I love any show at the pod,you cant beat rwyb and watching drag racing whilst enjoying a beer on the banking.

Then laughing at ya mates pod tanned faces on the sunday!

Bug jam is the chavviest show and i lost count of how many strangers offered me pills, but still enjoy'd it.

Heres a couple of links if you want them (excuse the first one being full of my Ghia pics but it is my own facebook file so it's bound to!!)
