Towbar + Trailer

Im sure its been asked before but couldnt find the answer through searches.... has anyone got a towbar or trailer that they tow behind a slammed/lowered bus? I got chatting to a guy at Billing this weekend, who makes his own Teardrop trailers. This would be great for us with two kids and a load of camping gear! Just the logistics of using it with my bus being so low concern me.

My first worry is attaching a tow bar and how low it might sit under the bumper? About the same clearance as a stock exhaust?

So assuming the clearance isnt a problem, are there 'long' tow bars that would extend up so that a trailer wouldnt be sat with its nose down to meet the ball?

The other obvious point is that towing a trailer will add weight to the back of the bus and cause it to sit ever lower to the floor (depending on load)

Some pics of how tow bars 'fix' to the bumper irons would be great, and also pics of your trailers :D as well as all your opinions on this subject :D

bugger! i have just removed a tow bar that fitted through the bumper and was bolted to a bar that was welded between the bumper irons it was a good setup for lowered buses as it sat higher up than the ones that go below the bumper. sadly i have lobed the bits but do have a pic of how it was

take your bumper of and weld a substantial bar between your irons. then by a tow hook and bolt through.

i like that idea - my rear bumper is pretty shabby so fixing a tow bar to it is not a problem :D
