I have just bought a 69 Clipper with a rear view mirror with an unusually long stem. Anyone know anything about these mirrors, not the least why they were that way?

imagine having a mate (i say mate, he's clearly not though  ) who seems to buy and sell them like normal people go through say, toilet roll, and it's always "the wrong year" or "the wrong colour" or "ooh it'd faded in the california sun" but never "here you go councillor mate; i know you're desperate to get your hands on one, and have been for some time... have one of my cast-offs... gratis..."Airtime said:I'd love to get my hands on one of those!
