Maplin Multimeter

Just bought one of these digital multi meters

only £15 but it comes with test leads AND an inductive pick up lead.
Measures DC Volts, DC Current, Amps, Frequency, RPM, DWELL ANGLES (0-90 deg 4 cyl), diodes test, continuity

I've heard great reports abouts those Maplin meters - very handy to have a tacho too!!

Time to get that timing sorted...

thats the idea, went to buy a timing gun as i lent a mates and bought this instead!
Still need a timing gun though

you made me buy one

does it come with battery though?

Yeah it runs from an 9v battery, used mine yesterday to try and set up the carb, rev range very stable, Haven't used the dwell setting yet as im not sure what im looking at

Used the dwell setting today and got a dwell reading of 50.2.
Not bad considering the spec is 50 +/- 2
