Will sell but collection only and price is as low as it will go; I suspect that these spindles will now be destined for my bus

Shame you don't want the gearbox, wheels, alloys or seat as they take up much more room ;)

PM's returned

So what you can buy this from from VW Heritage then...... :bliss:

..........according to the VW heritage website it shows that ther only sell the rubber seals, king pins and bushes

http://www.vwheritage.com/vwh/VW-Camper-Van-Parts%5CBus-Parts-1955-67%5CSteering-Suspension%5CFront-Suspension%5C?templateID=vwh" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

King pins £59.21ea (you need 4)
Bushes for above £4.59ea (you need 4)
Seals for spindle asemblies £3.02ea (you need 8 )

so that is £279.36 so far.......

They also sell the backing plates at £14.27ea (you need 2)
and they also have new hubs at £22.43ea and as it doesn't say they come with studs you could also buy 10 at £6.07ea

Could you could be up to £413.46 so far......

What you also need but can't buy is........
.....the 4 thrust washers
.....the 2 spacer collars
......the 2 spindles (but custom and commercial sell these for £124.95ea -clearly you need 2 of these)

If we say the washers are £5ea and the spacers are £10ea that would mean your up to £703.36

Then there are the fixings, grease nipples and arms and seals so that would cost you more money as would the dust caps for the spindles.

Oh, and you'll need 4 rubber seals at £5.05ea

so if we say nipples and fixings £15 and the seals you be up to £738.56

Now, have you found anywhere in the UK that will sell you a new genuine 64>67 torsion arm....didn't think so

So assuming you could find the arms new I suspect you might be up to £1,000 and that is sourcing it all yourself which probably won't be easy if it is possible at all..........

And you wanted it (with the link pins) for under £500, and it is new.............

Go to Heritage

Heritage do have the spindles...

£103.14 each retail, look on the SSP site under front axle.

This stuff is a good price for built up new spindles with the trailing arms. It all adds up when you have to buy the bits individually.

Buy them and send them to us for dropping!

PM's returned, as a basic rule of thumb, if it is still pictured in the first post then it is still for sale.

Bump for the parts
