this place has never failed me yet.

im after a new phone and havent got a clue

ive got a 6230i nokia

ive always had a nokia, but fancey a different one.

is there a newer version of the phone i have but will still fit the same handsfree?

if not what replaced it,i need to have handsfree so i would like to go for a phone that i can easyly get a handsfree kit for

has to be the cradle type hands free, not the other ones that make you look like 7of9s ugly brother

ive had a quick look and there all Ns or Es, whats the difference are the Es cheeper? not that kind of E

missus has just got a nokia 6500 slide brushed ali finish, looks the nuts and works really well got loads of features but will not fit your cradle kit but if the kit you have is a nokia ck7w with add on cradle you should have (if fitted) a silver button with nokia written on it on your dash somewhere which means it is a bluetooth car kit which i have in my car works stunnin if you need anymore info on your kit pm me fit them for a living :D

Nokia 6230i was the best phone I ever had, really reliable and easy to use, still keep it as a back up.I've got the Nokia N95 now but it does have a few problems like sometimes it goes a bit slow, the battery doesn't last long and sometimes it switches itself off (probably best to steer vlear) But it does have built in Sat Nav and decent web browser and camera etc.The missus has a Sony Ericsson MP3/camera phone which has been fault free and the battery lasts well.

I looked when I was upgrading my 6230i last year and couldn't find a new version to fit my hands free cradle so I bought a blue tooth parot portable hands free unit which clips on your sun visor.I think it's handy as you can transfer it from car to car.It takes a while to get used to and it's not quite as clear a conversation as on a built in hands free but still worth it.

the parrot hands free kits are good 8) as for the phone i can ask a friend who runs a phone shop in plymouth what he reccomends , his last redcommendation was the nokia 6230i 8) never had any problems with the good old Nokia's , had other phones that have played up a bit , one that would not switch on or off , poor reception , had a phone that was not nokia and had an old 3310 inside the garage with steel roof the old 3310 worked the other would not :?

well i have to agree the old nokia is faultless, ive even launched it at the wall before now and after a quick rebuild, back to normal

graig if you can ask your friend that would be great

a good camara would be handy anything else im not to fussed on

its for work and play so needs to take a hamering but dont want one of those rubber things.

its not a blue tooth just bogo one

il give you a shout when i get a phone 8ball,il be needing a couple a kits

thanxs everyone,im a little closer

oh talking of steel roofs,i cant get a signal in my workshop and ive been told you can get a device that sorts it,any ideas?

just been onto my mate with the phone shop and his choice phone is the sony erricsson K850i
you could get another 6230i they seem to be quite a bargain at minute 8)

sony erikson W910i, bought it for my wife and shes really fussy about her phones, it had to be easy to use but have all the bells and whistles and she absolutely loves it!

i have a palm treo 750v, nokia n620 and blackberry for work, i like the palm as i run tomtom from it but its slow to start and take calls.
