don`t know if this is strictly tech but i have a spot and a fog light to fit to me front bumper but don`t wanna go drilling holes at all ...overriders already attached so can`t use holes, is there anything on the market to accomodate the fixing for example g clamp thingies appreciate the help dudes :lol:

Most seem to drill, that's what I'll be doing, but my front bumper isn't worth writing home about... ;)

see previous discussion: http://forum.earlybay.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=9219" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

mine are fitted using Z shaped steel strips that go in front of the bumper, then underneath and bolted through the bumper mounts... like this

good idea, I'd be a little concerned about vibration. I'm in the same boat, getting a solid bumper soon that's going to be Powder coated - I was going to drill the holes than have it coated.
I wonder how VW done it 40 years ago?

There's very little movement in them, no vibration during normal use, I'd say they are pretty rigid! I have pictures of my van from the 80's and it has the same fogs, attathed using exactly the same metal 'Z's.. So I'm pretty happy they won't fall off any time soon :)

Shame some chav ******* smashed one of them :x but then again I have a 'spare' pair I found at work... :wink:

Reading back, I made a mistake, I think they are bolted to the van using the same bolts that hold the bumper mount on (if you catch my drift)

I'll get some pictures tomorow if it helps :wink:

You can get the small bumper clamps, fit with rubber pads and theres no need for drilling....simply clamp onto upper or lower edge of bumper...

Hi Ste,
Saw this on ebay, don't know if it would work? :? Looks like only one of 'em though.
