The neighbour just knocked on the door to say that i had left my lights on, so out i go knowing full well that i hadn't and lo and behold the lights were on. Jumped in and the switch was pushed in, strange, started it up and the lights still stayed on didn't matter what i done so in the end i pulled the relay from the fuse box and the lights went out.
Looks like with all the rain we're having i have a leaky windscreen on the passenger side that drips staright onto the fuese and relays.
Anyone else have this problem and where else can i move the fuse box to?
Eventually i will fit a new windscreen seal but need a short term solution ASAP

I would say a short term fix would be to cover the van, also it is so much easier to replace the screen rubber than relocate the fuse box.

I've thought about making some flying leads and just moving the relays to another position, at least that way the water wont drip onto the terminals and it will allow me to turn the relays around so any water (if it does drip) will drip onto the top of the realys

Had the same problem with mine so I removed the relays from the fusebox & moved them across about 12 inches. All you have to do is to make a suitable bracket to hold them in replace/extend the wires & job done, only took about an hour. I also located them upside down so there is no way any water could drip into them.
Didn't want to replace windscreen seal yet as I was worried what I might find :?
Have more problems now though as I've got serious rot in the roof  letting water into van. Major surgery needed this winter but it does give me the excuse of throwing away the horrendous viking roof :D

Can you not put some silicon sealant around the seal to stop water coming in, otherwise the front panel will be getting wet from inside too and could help rust develop/advance.

WHS ^^

Surely its got to be quicker and easier to bodge up the leak rather than to bodge up the electrics?
