I know must of us put up with small oil leaks, marking the drive isn't the end of the world! But my bus is driving me nuts, if I go over 50mph I have oil going onto my exhaust and lots of smoke, the back of the bus is completely covered in oil, I had the rear main oil seal changed when my gearbox was installed, there was a couple of drops of oil on the gearbox mount, and a small drop where the gearbox joins the engine, and one pushrod tube leaking, i know it gets drawn back once the bus is moving but i cant see these two leaks causing the whole of the back of the bus to be covered in oil.
My helpfull neighbour tells me it's properly coming out of the exhaust and spraying the bus in oil, if this is the case is it a case of just a set of rings, or is it going to be a lot more.
Any help with ideas or suggestions as I want to get out and use it but can't stand the smoke
It's a type one motor with single carb and quite pack exhaust, another question is could it be breather related, it hasn't got an original air filter, if this makes any difference???
Thanks in advance
