Oil Sensor GB - 2/3d's shipped, see thread for delivery

having got an oil temp sensor fitted to one engine but not the other i struggling to work out if i want one of these so could someone help me out - if my oil pressure light came on i would engine off immediately pretty much regardless. if i hit too oil oil temps i would stop fast but not immediately especially as oil temp in the sump is going to have a time lag behind the hottest parts of the engine and if i'd just climbed a serious hill.. so if the oil light comes on with this installed how do i know which is the problem..

As for import charges, I was charged £72 on a Berg shifter, this lil lot is double the price, so £144 seems about right, divide that by 73 people £2 per person, not too bad really. :mrgreen:

Have we thought about maybe having a chat to see if they can mark the goods down? I used to have a word when I used to order Ice Hockey Equipment from the States, the other way around it is one of those companies that act as a handler for you in the US, you send the goods to them and they forward them onto you as a gift.

From my own experience when the item is shipped as "gift" or "commercial sample" the threshold is raised but you are still liable for vat,e.g over 25$ for normal rate over $38 for gift.You are also charged vat on the shipping fee!
As regards marking goods down you could come unstuck if the package goes missing,so if it is declared as say $20 you cant then claim the full cost of the loss,also if customs believe it to be undervalue for evasion purposes they apply there own rate.(plus handling fee)I understand no one wants to pay more than you have to but tax is a fact of life.
