Was like tonic it was!, cleared all the crap out of the bus (makeshiftt winter store) chucked some juice in (bit dearer than last year  ) then went for a bimble, sun was shining, tunes was on the go, yeah i know i dont have a fifth gear, but it's just nice pootling along around 55ish with a mobile greenhouse soaking up the rays, brakes judder a bit, but hey i'm feelling a lot more motivated now :D , roll on the camping season, what have you done in yours??

I pulled mine out the garage for the first time since before Christmas.

Started up first time :D

I mended the sliding door, then got bored and mended the heating on my daily driver beetle instead :)

I got into fixing the windshield area, but got stuck working on the drivers' side with a piece that just wouldn't fit. I threw it away and then did the middle part, succeeded in that 8)

Then I sorted out my walkthru - succeeded in that too!

So okay, I didn't drive it -yet- but I'm working on that!

Cheers

Just returned from a wonderful Bus weekend,
( http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_search.php?search_keywords=Kaapse+Kombi+Kult+2nd+annual+kamp-out+9-10+February+2008&search_terms=all ), changed the regulator of my Bus at the event, got some eyelids, new front bumper rubber and the correct deluxe tail lights!

PS, it is amazing what a tail wind can do to a standard '71 1600 Bay on the highway

My bog stock 1600 bay will hit an indicated 135kph 8) (80mph) on the flat. And I have standard tyres on it too.

Not that I've tried

(In my defence, it was before a big hill. I was only doing 50 by the top of the hill)

Yep got my Bay out as well, pushed her out of the garage :) then pushed her back in after i,d done a few jobs :) It was a joy working in the sunshine.
