Its just a chill- out with no set plans 8) , people just arrive fri when they can , sat you can walk to the castle, pub nearby or stay at the site, they sell firewood so evening burn up is in order  , bbq etc.
Site does get busy in summer but hoping that kids are back to school by then so might be a bit quieter :msn4:

If any one else is wants to join in pop your name down to give me an idea of numbers and ill contact the site to pre-warn them

Ok - so after the weather forcast from hell we decided to go for it andset off mid morning fri.
We got held up in traffic and it lashed down on the way, but we got there and met up with Hotrod, thats Steve and Kath from here!
It stopped raining which let us set up camp earlybay and we settled in for the evening!
We had a fire and then the rain set in along with the wind , which was in for the night!

The next morning was cloudy but dry, with the locals predicting more heavy rain, but we were going to have a good time so after all being fed and watered we set off anong the river towards Bodium to see the castle. As we reached the village we were met by a miniture traction engine which was heading along the road to the station, so we went to check it out!

Turned out there was a Hop Pickers event on, what a result for us
Spent most of the day here

After a great afternoon here we went on to the castle

After which we headed back to camp

Only to find another earlybay set up and a note from Childsey (paul) that he had arrived set up and gone to the pub in the village!

We now had 4 earlybays and lit the fire and bbq's and chilled into the evening, which stayed dry too - result

We hed some bad news from The Last Panzer (James) who was flying solo on a 5 hour drive down from up north only to make it to the m25 then breaking down, big respect for trying mate!!

Thanks to Funkylama (Adam, Lucy and Jack)
Hotrod (Steve and Kath)
Childsey (Paul)
