Hi all,

Does anyone know where I can get a hot-rod style gear shifter from, one of the really long Rat-Fink Style ones.

I've tried looking but can only find standard height ones or shorter in the uk, there are a few in the states but I can work out if they will fit an early bay???

Thanks

cut your shifter lower down near the bottem and weld a tight fitting sleave around the bottem (if your shifter is solid). then simply weld a realy long bar into the sleave as long as you want it. then stick whatever top you want on it. if your shifter is hollow do then same but weld a bar inside it for the strength. then fit a quick shift plate as 5 inch travel on a standard shifter would be half a mile on a long one

thanks, i thought that would probably be a viable option and have just seen the short shift plate on heritage... I was just being lazy and wondered if i could get one off the shelf.
