As I'm getting the red9 from wishbone setup with 71 discs I'll have a mismatch with 5X112 setup on the front and 5x205 at the rear. I don't really want adapters as they'll widen the track so could I just use rear drums from a 71 to match up to the fronts? Also would I need to change all the internal components to match?

BTW with the new PCd I'm going to get some Alloys, probably from the JGE range 8)

Cheers

You can't put 112 drums instead of 205 drums, they just won't work.I don't believe you can retap the drums either because the material towards the centre of the drum isn't on a flat edge and I believe it's thinner.

Your best bet is to go to a few forums and you will probably find someone to do a rear end set up swap with? Or buy the parts needed somewhere. You will need rear stub axles, rear brake back plates and internals etc.Not sure if the hub carrier is the same, probably need that them too.

Try this link they have a late by IRS set up for sale £150 if you scroll down the page. You could then swap the complete hubs over and resell yours to a splitty owner who wants to stay wide 5 ;)
