Im wanting/needing to replace the shift rod coupling and the shuttlecock shaped bushes, question is,

Do i need to take the engine and box out or is it possible to do it in situ?
and if it does need removing can i get away with unbolting it complete, engine and box and moving it slightly back to give room too work?

its a crossover,so no nice removable rear panel, what a backward step that was!

any help please,

cheers steve.

you can replace the shift rod coupling with the engine & gearbox in place (although it can be a PITA if things are well seized).
I don't think there is anyway to replace the other bushes with them in place though as you need to pull the rod right out.

I am thinking of doing this , but luckily engine and gearbox are out , Just wondered what parts i will need to change all the worn parts , Sorry Steve - crack on fella :?

Thanks loxy,

will try and replace the coupling first to see if that sorts the problem.
