Roof rack height

Ill b purchasing a roof rack at some point and was wondering if I would have to change my garage doors if I was to leave the roof rack on all the time. I really need to know the hight of a roof rack.
I kinda won't a westfilia chrome / stainless with wood slats but would consider the cheaper jk ones (powder coated ) if I really had to. can anyone give me a rough idear of roof rack hight from top of a tintop roof

i'll measure the height of mine for you tomorrow mate. it's a creative engineering westy type so should give you a good indication.

just from looking at it though, i think you'll be struggling to garage it with one on. even if you've got your bus slammed i reckon you'd struggle mate.

Mine doesn't fit in a garage with the roof rack on ... in fact, it only just about fits under an up and over door without the roof rack on!

There is a low profile rack for sale on here. 2 and 3 bow ones, I presume that the company who does them also do full length is that's what you're after?

I was really after a westy style one
I notice Karmon konnection have got some nice ones for 299
Do they take long to remove

Allright mate.

at the front from the top of the roof to the highest point it measures 240mm

at the back from the top of the roof to the highest point it measures 255mm

Well I fitted my roof rack and found that if I detach the top bars I can get it in the garage which is cool cos I haven't got to remove the complete roofrack each time I put it back in

Next weeks weather looking changeable but weekend maybe hot again? Annoying cos we gonna b without our bus.
Mon tue it's having some spray work inside and headliner soon after
