Hi folks

I have had to replace one of the front indicator units on my early bay - by unit I mean the metal cradle that holds the light bulb - water had got in and rusted it all pretty bad. I noticed when I was removing the old seal there was some sort of glue holding it on.

My question - is the new seal going to be enough to create a water-tight seal or should I glue it down also? I have of course squeezed the new unit into the strips on the seal.

Thanks

Daniel

Originally these were not glued. The fit was accurate enough for simple pressure from the mounting to keep it waterproof.

If the replacement is not sealing, for whatever reason, I would suggest using silicon bathroom sealant rather than glue since, should you ever need to, its easier to clean off.
