iam i mad ? wot do you think? :?:

rusty

p.s thinking replacing with a t5

don't know if i could sell something that i've owned for that long, but if you're ready to move on then perhaps its time

I sold my MG after owning it for more than 20 yrs a few years ago, I thought that I would miss it but havnt looked back.

Just think what you could replace it with.

I am shocked at the replies to this  <------ see, would you say the same if it was an EB? I think if you have owned something that long it becomes part of your family and Rusty wants talking out of it, its easy to be tempted by some flash new thing, quite often happens in a mid life crisis, would you swap the 'other half' for a younger model?? lol :)

DON`T answer that question, on the grounds it may incriminate you,,,,   And lynds ! fancy putting thoughts like that in their head !! I`m shocked with you  <--- see ?

But I reckon Lynds is right. If you is thinking / asking about it,,,,, DON`T DO IT,,, ;)

Ozziedog,,,,,,,, New model indeed,,

I can`t wait till Mrs Ozziedog is too old to go to the shops,, but she`ll have me broke long before that happens,, ;)

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,, (And still working), 8)

How about a vw disability scooter? :D

wow,,, and how 8) is that.! That would kep her happy, (who am I trying to kid) well maybe for 30 seconds.!

Ozziedog,,,,,,,, I bet I could sort the brakes on that !! ,,, ;) ;)

VW have just shown their new car , the XL, 330 mpg and will be on sale in two years. It`s the worlds most economical car and sits lower than a Lambo.

Ozziedog,,,,,, Mrs Ozziedog won`t want anything "economical" ,, ;)

Sell the split To buy a T5 you say hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I would sell the split, buy a T5, burn it out cos their horrible & **** and it would be one less on the roads, claim on the insurance and buy a decent bay! .........done

i also have 72 dutch fire bus, owned 10 years, 1970 westy 4 years
but there keepers,

i just dont use the split now i have kids.

I had an UR quattro for 9 years 1 previous owner.
Tornado Red mb '89 have regretted it ever since.
I dont want another one now i just miss my one.

Think long & hard mate..

I've never kept any of my cars for more than 3 years (bar my project GT6 that I had for 10 years, never got on the road and sold for my EB!) - I've loved all my cars but never had the room/funds to keep one before getting something else

Hopefully in the future I can start accumulating more than one hobby car - but tbh once I consider getting something else I'm halfway to dealing with letting the current one go and more excited about the possibilities! - though couldn't relate to a vehicle I've owned for 20 years

I have a friend that says 15 years later she still misses her bus and wishes she hadn't sold it :( but everyones different, I think you get attached to them but, same as people, if you don't love them anymore its time to say goodbye. You might miss them but always remember the happy times. Its not died just gone somewhere you can't drive it anymore :? lol

Carl Rogers considered in using a person centred approach that we all have the answer within us....it is just a case of finding it....

.....you have clearly identified the answer to you question here......

Sell the kids and keep the van, children generally fetch very good money. Depending on age, condition and gingerness obviously.

If you take in spare parts alone a non drinking non smoking teen they would maybe fetch £100k, all parts are low milage not abused and nearly adult sized. this is more than enough to buy a T5.

Are they breakers?

Hope this helps
