sillt feeler guage question

so i have a feeler gauge question i have a 1/1000 gauge so am i right in saying as it goes 4 ,6 , 8 etc etc is it actually 0.4mm, 0.6mm, 0.8mm?


0.4=0.016in?? is the points gap? so is a 4 on my gauge?
and valves gap is /? .006 so is this the 6 on my gauge?

no 6 thou is the tappets 15thou is the points and 25 thou is the plugs you have imperial feeler gauges not metric
