Sound deadening - flash banding

Decided to go down the flash banding route to deaden the panels. Do I need to cover the whole panel(s) or just some strips a few inches apart?
Help much appreciated.

Just strips, as you're looking at reducing the harmonic of the panels 8)

25% of the panel is enough to lower the frequency to a comfortable sound. The heavier the material the better.
