Here is a gentle reminder about the SSVC’s Swap Meet at the Ace Cafe London.

As usual, we have our annual swap meet (the day before the Slough Swap Meet) on Saturday, 13th November. The Ace meet is basically a 'car boot' kind of affair, allowing you, the punters to trade, swap and sell VW orientated stuff from your vehicle. Trading is free but please remember, plot availability is on a first come first served basis. It really is worth a visit, as at last years event we had some serious new old stock goodies on offer plus a few traders from mainland Europe with some really nice stuff, also there were bargains to be had everywhere!

For more information please call the Ace Cafe on: 020 8961 1000 or Rikki on: 07802 884 583

Anyone going? Usually a few EB'ers there, nice to catch up with folk. And have a cracking breakfast!!!
Me and ma boy will be there in the bus, especially as it now has a nice and shiny new MOT :D

Had a great day out, quiet but a great cooked breakfast.

It was good to catch up with Pete B, Ego (Steve) and Niv.

We'll be there as usual!
Looking forward to it and hoping to find a suitable right hand door mirror to match the lovely left side one I picked up last year. :D
And very much anticipating the cracking breakfast, as is my boy who no doubt will want extra bubble and squeek.....

Think I should point out that in the above pic, that although I obviously look far younger than my true years (stop sniggering at the back....), that is my son in the driving seat. (age 11 at the time) ;)

me and the kids are gonna try and make it this year - what sort of time do people get there??

Ace Cafe website says 11am start, but personally will be aiming for 10am at the very latest so as to park as close as possible. Bear in mind the car park is not large and generally reserved for those trading.
Also, the earlier arriving, the sooner I get breakfast!

Last year I went to the swap meet on the Sunday, but looks like the Saturday would be better as long as the weather is ok.
Not sure what day to go now???

Ace Cafe is only on the Saturday, Slough Swapmeet is on the Sunday. Ace Cafe is, essentially, free and more of a hang out ... Slough is a more organised swapmeet ... but many traders do both and the cool stuff may have been sold on Saturday, even though it may be for sale again on Sunday at a higher price!
