So cool. How did you get the writing on the mounting plate? I can only see plain ones on the website.

Ahh.....

I got these seperately from eBay a couple of years back - about 20 bucks for the pair
Although there's plenty of other options you can buy
Search for SO-CAL SPEEDSHOP they sell some nice ones!

They look nice Spence, I'll have to do the same now

Go for it Andrew!..if Steve can drive around on US plates without getting the cops attention I thought what the hell - mind you I'll be keeping my old'uns stowed in the bus just in case!

I believe there's some kind of legal loop-hole if your bus is a US import built before '73 and you fit them with the plate surrounds.....
I've seen stuff on the web re this and I believe there is a thread somewhere on Earlybay too.

Are they legal in the eyes of plod

No...but its just if they can be bothered to stop you. Not Mot legal either....but its down to your particular MOT guy.

Good for shows though.
I don't think i would use them on the street , i wouldn't want to give PC Plod any excuse to pull me over, im usually running late enough already

Does anyone know what style plates would be correct for a 1970 bus? As in, colour, font, any slogans? My bus was from California then went onto Montana (apparently) I'd like plates that would be correct for either state.
