steering box drop arm nut size

on an early bay (1971-72) steering box, is the output shaft to drop arm nut the same size as the late bay?

Pitman arm nut? I have a late bay box in front of me, that measures 36mm if that helps, unsure of early size as not at home to measure mine.

cheers Chris - yes the Pitman/drop arm - that's v helpful, just needed to know if the nut is transferable from early bay to late bay fixing - I suspect not!!

Unfortunately they are two different sizes.
