If it’s just an oil leak but fine in every other way, I’d pop it off but find out where it’s leaking first. Just give it a thorough cleaning and make sure there’s some oil in there and that it hasn’t all leaked out. Might just be worth having a look to make sure that the filler bung is in the top of it and still in one piece. If it’s just the gasket, that would be easy enough to clean out and make a new one, if it’s seals and stuff, ok if your fairly competent, but otherwise get it over to Graham at Midland Early Bay, he can refurb it for you, and if it’s not too far away, he possibly might do a drive in fit and drive out again, give him a ring.
