Hi, this afternoon at the volksworld show we had our MCJ Products prototype 17" woodrim steering wheel STOLEN by some lowlife scummer, hopefully the CCTV will bring this thief 's face to light and the person to shame.
This is the only steering wheel so if it surfaces on a van somewhere please let us know as the wheel will be easily identified as our prototype wheel.
Please contact me if you have any knowledge of its whereabouts.
thanks, Mark

this really gets on my nerves

why do people ruin shows like this, you go there to have fun and meet people and you usually feel safe, but when this sort of thing happens you get angry and then dont trust anyone and the shows will end up paying for it.

this sort of thing happened to a mates at BIG BANG last year they left early as they lost wallets and all their money and had spoilt thier weekend and thier TRUST

if this sort of this happens at all shows there will be no more shows as people loose thier trust in it and the fellow dubbers.

i know this sort of thing happens alot at the POD, its usally the locals cashing in on our being there

i dont mean to moan, but it puts me off going to shows if there is thiefs there, we all work hard to make our bus's and cars the way they are and money is important. and even other things are.

its really sad when something like this happens, you would think that dubbers are more trustworthy than others wouldn't you :? im guessing they are dubbers as they would have had to pay admission. I hope you catch them Mark and the police throw the book at them.

sad to seee this. seems to be a trend at the minute. its a sorry fact that the cooler vw's get the more complete and utter ********* are attracted to them. if they catch um i hope they lop thier happy sacks the tw@S. :(

******* ******s!!

Will keep my eyes peeled fella 8)

Thanks guys, i have added a better pic of the wheel, it ruins the fun of the weekend, hopefully the cctv will come up with something, thanks, mark

I think you'll find as with any big event that it won't be the dedicated enthusiast that has done this. These events attract the sort who go there for one thing to steal........nothing to do with VW scene at all.......sent out there to rob as much and then sell on......................(I hope I'm right) Good luck.........and when they find the culprit(s)they ought to do what they do in Arabia....at least their eyesight would improve after!

Bloody low life scum!

such a shame when something like this happens! hope you find them.

Sorry I don't agree, just because someone is in the 'scene' doesn't mean they couldn't potentially be a thief. What with the economy the way it is at the moment, it could be anyone.

Good luck finding the thieving bastard all the same.

Total bas***ds.

Found center punch marks on my side window after vanfest. Has made me think twice about going again.

Vdub scene seem to be suffering from the same thing that happened to Glastonbury before the security was improved, a handful of ******s spoiling it for everyone else.

The VW world has a huge mix of people associated with it, from guys with a collection getting near a million $ to others that look like they have just driven off the local traveller site, the worry is that someone paid `(i am assuming that) to get into the show, thats not cheap to start with so they must have some interest in the scene other than being on the rob.
My guess is this guy that took it is in general a thief in his everyday outlook on life, always after something for nothing, they chance to take something happened and he did it, they wont stick it on ebay, its on every VW site around, he has to of seen what's being said on the forums, i don't think this will be seen again, not until the wheel is in general production and the chance to be outed nearly gone.
Sorry to hear what happened, i was trading in the main hall also and at times you just don't have enough eyes.
Thieves scum of the earth and deserve all karma throws at them, and i hope a few read this!!
