Straps on Westfalia buddy seat

Hi, These were on the side of my Westfalia buddy seat, what are they for ?

Dont think Ive seen those before.

The stool has a leather strap that secures to an metal bracket on the sink unit to stop it sliding about, but thats not that.

Might not be original?
