Anybody got any closer pics??????..

think i might have a good match to the original, but i am squinting at pics above (keep going cross eyed) :lol:

Bugger, sorry, I meant to do that....

If I haven't done by Friday, will someone send me some abuse to do it.
(In Downing St tomorrow for a long stint with the clown Alistair Darling, so it won't happen be done for a day or so)

I dont think there is a definitive, from what Ive seen the type used varied slightly through the period, but essentially retained the grey/white pattern.
I have some pieces of mine (it had been cut, refitted and ruined :( ) and can get a pic if needed.

When i stripped and refitted mine, I visited several (10+?) carpet/lino/flooring places to find a match .... how hard will it be I thought? Well, very.
Tons of sample books on I ended up getting a light grey lino thats a temporary fix, but have get to find anything 'really' close. Anyone who gets a lead on a good fix will get a pint from me!!

Hi!

I was sent some links by Cker5 - as he has just replaced the floor in his westy, took me ages to find them, but i think these are the ones:

http://www.armstrong-flooring.co.uk/commflreu/en-gb/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://www.rhinofloor.co.uk/resflreu/eu1/rhinofloors/uk/gb/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://www.norarubber.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Cker5's Westy, with pic of floor etc. Worth a read!

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on, i still haven't got round to doing mine yet......

hi all,

I'm trying to find out if they still make the vinyl that i know was a close match, it has a dull finish and had horse hair on the back and was sold as acoustic vinyl because it cut down noise,(perfect for an old bus!) installed it in many flats back in the day! haven't fitted any for about five years or so, and i cant find on the web at the mo, will ask company reps, but..............have a look at Gerflor website at the mipolam ranges, the ACTIVA 2509 looks like it could be close, looks vintage will last forever too!, also Armstrong floors website have a look at the linoleum ranges,...... again GRANETTE PUR 117-050 could be a winner? hope this helps you westy owners,

p.s sorry for being a flooring nerd!.......do i win a pint clem?????? :lol:
