Hi,

My new bus needs the whole sills doing on both sides - outer, inner and also the middle strengthener.

I`ve seen the guides on the special patrol/spooky website, but iwas wondering if anyone had any tips or techniques for making the job straightforward?

I`ve done quite alot of welding on beetles and some on vans, but never van sills before. My main worry is losing the the alignment of the sliding door - i can see i have to cut the lower track off (keeping the upper in place), but is there a good way of getting the lower track bit lined up correctly.

The tophats, outiggers, jacking points are in fairly good condition - just need some minor repairs to them.

Thanks in advance,

Mike
