im stuck down in Windsor, Berkshire SL4 2JJ on sunday on my own and wondered if anyone is A.local the area and B.know of anywhere nearby i could get out on my mtn bike and ride some trails

has anyone rode swinley forest?

long shot what with this being a bus forum

thought id ask

thanks

man, Swinley forest is massive - great for mountain biking, i live the other side of it near lightwater.
well worth a trip out on the bike id say :D
If i'm around i'll see if i can get a pass and come and join you, havnt been out on the bike for ages!

ahh sounds good il chuck the bike in the boot.give me a shout if you fancey a ride out, aparently the signs round that place are few and far beetween would be good to have a local guide ;) should probably try and find a map dont wanna get lost.

your not too far away from the chilterns for some more very good riding as well, always welcome to join the sunday morning crew or the tuesday night crew if you a. have lights and b. are happy charging through the woods in the dark

thanks for the offer but im only there for sunday and wont be up silly early as sat is an all expenses payed afair

how early is the sunday morning crew?i asume you ride with them?

its normally a 9am start. if your only down for the one day, i'd do swinley probably, ist closer and the soil drains better than chiltern mud

i'll see if i can dig a route out

A route would be great . Thanks for the advise . After 28 miles round the Peak District last weekend something a tad more leisurely and less muddy is defo on the cards.

My lads got an away footy match on Sunday morning so prob can't make a ride out,
Sorry - was looking fwd to it
I don't have any route maps - I usually just bomb round there - there's some great trails 8)
