When you say 'secure' what do you mean?

On my westy trailer there is a hole in the hitch that allows you to put a padlock though which locks it to the van, this is what I use most of the time.

I have also wondered what to use to lock it up if left on site, but most locks are either tow hitch locks or wheel locks. These would still allow the trailer to be picked up and removed if someone so wished. I have thought of using some type of screw in ground anchor and a bike lock, but not sure how affective this would be.

yeah all aspects, wheel clamps hitch locks and site security.....

with it being such a lightweight trailer there is the real fear of some unscrupulous **** picking it up and carting it off

I suppose on the type of close knit sites we use the chance of someone doing that is low as everyone looks out for each other....

The wheel locks offer a visual deterant but really wont stop it being lifted from your drive, then theres the dreaded stop at the services with a fully laden trailer, stopping some **** unhitching it from your ride and onto theres (I know someone this happened to :x )

Does it not have a hole for a pad lock?? ours has one drilled through the hitch just under the handle, it locks the handle to the actual drawbar so it cant be unhitched from your tow ball. then at home theres always a good old fashioned ground anchor and lock and chain. if it was parked in the same place every time thas what id do. they also make screw in ground anchors for motorbikes used when you are camping. they are like those dog leash thingys that people strap thier dogs to but the thread is longer and wider so they cant be removed without taking the lock out first.

I've got a little 4 x 3 trailer for tip runs and camping etc. When its on the vehicle its padlocked on always. At home I have a post with tow hitch attached to be concreted into the ground, just havent got round to doing it yet
