VANFEST - OVERFLOW CAMPING AREA
The campsite is approx 1Km away from the Vanfest site. It is limited to 500 spaces. There is a surcharge of £10 per vehicle on top of the normal W/E Vanfest entry fee. (which goes to the landowner). We will be running a shuttlebus service between sites or you will be able to take your vehicle to the Vanfest Day Visitors Car Park. It is first come first served. Once its gone its gone.
We STILL do not (contrary) to the many rumours flying around have any more areas stashed away & cannot/will not take any pay on the day camping for the main site. The main site remains full for camping.
Send me your requests for the Satellite camping area on this link; & I will send booking form (there are no gurantees here, as already said once its gone its gone)

To answer some of the other points that have been raised/might come up. Re VANFEST SATELLITE CAMPING AREA.
OK, for a start this is just another campsite in the Malvern Area, just like the many others which many people going to Vanfest (who are not on the main site) will be using. You are of course still quite welcome to try and find other campsites in the area and come to the event as Day Visitors.
If we did not provide it, someone else would or those still wishing to camp in the area would still try to find some other area to camp. (or wild camp - which we do not want to happen). People who really still want to come to Vanfest will still come & will make the effort to find themselves a camping area somewhere.
It will have facilities on it to match the numbers of people/vehicles booked.
It will also have full security on site 24 hrs
The people using it will be coming to the Vanfest site as Day visitors just like all the others using the local campsites will be.
We will be running a shuttle bus service to the satellite site so they do not have to drive (or walk) if they don't want to (or can't!).
They will have until (just after) midnight to vacate the Vanfest site & return to their vehicles/camping site
Actual numbers of people on the main site will not increase too significantly. We have lost some camping area on the main site due to other ground works on the site.
What we will/and do have is a limit on the numbers of vehicles on (both) the sites which should make the whole event more comfortable for everyone.
We are using a wristband system to identify those who should be on site(s) & those who should not.
Hope this clarifies things. We are trying to make things easier for everyone. Advance booking & limiting (and holding/reducing) the camping unit numbers on main site was/is the only way we could go.
Providing satellite campsites is the only way forward to provide the additional spaces to replace the ones we have lost on the main site and provide area for people who would still look for camping elsewhere if we did not provide it.
Of course ,next year we may have to put a limit on day visitor numbers as well but let's try and get through this year first
Regards
Simon
