Hi
Just wondered if you realised that by completing the V888 DVLA form & paying £5 you could find out all your vehicles former keepers & colour changes etc

Why didn't I buy my bus years ago !?

I did that for my Beetle a few years ago. What they sent back was useful, although I don't think any of the previous owners live at the same addresses any longer.

I've been meaning to do it for my Bus and Rover for ages :)

I did that for my 68 panel.
Was imported from Cali 4 years ago. Only got info of owners in uk not Cali owners

I did it for my old bus & it had a well known politician in its history

I done it and decided to send a letter to all eight previous owners !! Got replys from the first four and loads of great stories, the first owner 1968 got the bus as a mobile classroom in Liverpool for is wife, they even sent photos. Third owner got the bus from a scrap yard and started resto !!! Well worth doing 8)

I am tempted to do this, nothing to lose I guess, apart from a fiver.

What reason did you give DVLA for the request? The form seems a bit officious to me.

Kev

I put something very similar to that & had full history, about to do it again for my current bus

Post Office? Or

I'd love to do this for mine but the V5 isn't in my name yet... (needs inspection by DVLA when it's roadworthy again)
Itching to know how it ended up so f***ed!
