Chrome or Stainless Steel?

Not sure what to go for, Karmann K do a triple plated 'show' chrome version or for a tenner more Cool Air, do a stainless steel version.

Anyone had a chance to compare them?

go stainless ,triple chrome ive had suposed triple chrome :? :? when i start to put the bus back together i will post a pic of mine witch is less than 18 months ,i could sell it as genuine patina :lol:

I wasn't impressed with my stainless steel badge, maybe I was unlucky and got a bad one.

Where did you buy your patina show chrome badge from?

Coolair's 'top quality' badge is aluminium, then chromed. Karman's is 'fantastic quality' and show chromed, but not cheap anodised aluminium and £30 cheaper!

I can't see through all this marketing speak. :?

I bought a Stainless one from Aircooled Accessories a couple of weeks back via eBay. Paid 9% less than the buy it now price after I made an offer. Got a 10% off my next purchase voucher, a sticker and an air freshener, and nectar points!!

Also, it looks great.

Even the triple chrome badges rust, next time I replace my badge I will go for stainless.

I got a stainless one, looks quite good, I was trying to save the one on there to preserve it complete with patina But the fella painting it got a little carried away and painted it red for me to match the wheels, not quite what I was after so I have it hung up in my garage now whilst I ponder what to do (again) Luckily the brother in law took a photo of the bus pre paintwork and I got a rather groovy T Shirt and mug with them on. The badge was so scabby that the picture really looks like an artists impression of a `rat look ' badge,, :mrgreen:
