Guys, I need a stock treasure chest door for my newly purchased '71 bay single cab. I will also need all the latches, hinges etc. For some insane reason the previous owner closed this up with a panel.

Are there nos rocker panels available for the SC as well. The left side must be entirely replaced.

Can you point me in the right direction at all?

Hi
I needed to replace my sills the other year, made a hardboard profile template and found that they were the same profile as the Split Bus ones. This was further backed up by referring to VW's Parts Books - both the Split and the Bay have the same part number:
261 809 585 - "Sill under panel lid"
Assorted companies in the UK sell these.
The locks etc crop up on websites, when I've got more time I'll try and find them and post the links. I've got the lock body minus the barrel available.
Cheers
Ed
PS The previous owner needs severe corrective treatment for his vandalism of the lid.

I can't even imagine what would make someone do something as idiotic as this. Really! I mean how bad could it have been to throw the WHOLE thing away and close it up with a flat panel?

Anyhow, thanks for the info.
