Hi Lobie, thanks for link.
Says they are for a late bay, not sure if they will fit an early :?
I rang G`day Kombis who said they did have some, but had to cut them up,
as they wer`nt allowed to sell them :shock:
Still looking if anyone has any ideas

They ca`nt sell them as roo/bull bars are a "grey area" legally?
Something to do with putting them on a UK van , that they were not intended for :?
My van is a US import Westy any way.
I guess they do`nt want the hassle , if someone was to sue because of an accident.
Shame as i really wanted some

Mine are being restored and painted at the moment, I found it a nightmare to find them, but I found most importers would scrap them for the same reason. There are a few sets lying around, or they would be easy to make from tubing. If there were more than a few people interested then it would be worth it.

A decade or two ago these became fashionable on 4x4's. Then it was noted that when pedestrians, particularly shorter children, were hit they suffered worse injuries. As there are not "roo's" around here and generally no reason to have them, as I remember it, the law was changed regarding the design at least. I don't have the details.
I agree they look good though.

Before you get too excited mate, I would check with your insurance company. These are classed as a modification and underwriters don't like them for the reasons Zed gives above. If you don't tell them and you hit someone, kiss goodbye to your life :?
