http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-BAY-T2-CAMPER-BULL-BAR-ROO-BAR-RAT-LOOK-/320802388874?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4ab14ffb8a#ht_500wt_1202" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

but if you get some for a late there fairly easy to mod to an early depending on the design just a little fettleing with a grinder and welder :)

Hi Jacks, thanks for your kind offer.
As i`m a carpenter i could knock some up out of wood
However my metal work skills are sadly lacking
I was hoping to find some to bolt straight on :D
I`m still looking if anyone spots some for sale ;)
Many thanks Paul.

;) ;)

altho not sure how old the post is

If any one is interested once mine are back from the paint shop I could bust out a drawing of them for a joiner to create. They are simple bend tube...

I saw a guy selling them new at the volksworld show a while back, and he was asking a silly price.

was lookinginto making a few sets a while back but the legal rubbish is a bit much for me to get my skull round.

the EU directive is here though

Thanks again for all your replies guys.
I`m going to ring my insurance company RH , next week to check legalities of fitting them,
if i can actually find some
It may be possible to have a set made, depending on cost, as the design is fairly simple.
Adamski i`ll be in touch if i require dimensions ;)
Cheers Paul.

If i remember right does the legality stuff not apply to new designed stuff in the last 7 years I've never had a problem on all me landys.. trucks.. etc that have had them on.....
At the end of the day they either hit the bull bar or the 2t of camper following it either way there going be seriously injuried.. just make sure its strong enough to protect you in an accident :)

Dave

Hi Dave, i really do`nt know if there is a problem fitting then to my van,
but as a few people have already mentioned my insurance company could say i`m
not covered in the event of an accident, if i failed to tell them they were on the van.
Just covering my arse really , as insurance companys only need the slightest reason to not pay up
Cheers Paul.

I have a set for sale. They are fully restored and freshly painted bumper white and look as good as new.

Basically had a change of heart on fitting them (and my van won't fit in the garage....)

PM me for pics, details etc.

These will make an eb look awesome.

Hi all, i did eventually get some in the end :D
A mate brought some in Oz and kindly flew them over here ;)
Anyone who has fitted these to a bus before, where do they bolt to?
PM me a pic if possible.
Thanks Paul.

It depends on the type. One pair I had went on the beam mounts, the ones I have for sale to the bumper mount.

Not too sure if this will help. http://forums.kombiclub.com/showthread.php?t=33279" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks guys.
The link was of help to me, as i seem to be missing the cross brace which also acts as a mounting. I think :?
The rear mounting seems to line up with a front beam mounting bolt, however as the beam has a lip round it i`m not sure this will work as a fixing point.
On mine there is a strut branching of the main tube, this looks like it will line up with a chassis leg, however there`s no bolt hole
So all in all i`m stumped.
Paul.

Just drill I hole, weld, bend, cut, twist, do what you have to do to mount it. Might take a bit of work.
