Van Type
Westfalia
Did Westfalia busses only come in the white or the red or were they available in any colour off the vw line

Weren't Westafalia an independent company from VW, like Devon etc..? If so did they not just buy the vans off the production line and make the into campers?

Yeah but did they only do the red and whites, I've seen loads done in the half and half orange red and blue but I thik that might be custom respray, I am thinking of going red and white but don't want to do it if it really goes against the grain

I guess customers could specify what they want but white and red seemed the default until 71/72 when sierra yellow took over

Suppose it depends on the year of your bus?
1969?
Pastel white or Montana red???
Can't say I can think of any other colour ones I've seen :? :?

yeah that's my thinking lee, only really seen all white or red stock ones but have seen plenty modded ones in different combos.
oh what to do, don't want to ruin its heritage painting it red and white, when it should be pastel white L87, but like the two colours. HHMMMM

Just thinking about this, Ive seen a few/couple of 68 Euro spec Westys in green. not sure if its delta or elm though.
