Hi All

What do people do with the charcoal filter boxes? My 71 US import still has it all connected up, but my engine is away so I'm having a tidy up. Wondered if they need servicing in any way or can even be removed?

Cheers
Craig

They were only installed for emissions in certain US states - get it removed and you will be fine

That's good news if I can just shed a bit more weight! From memory one of pipes went to fan housing and others vanished towards tank area... So no need to block any of these off etc?

Cheers

I had one in mine that was not connected to anything
I removed it as I kept hitting my head on it
Now I just hit my head on the clamp that held it there

Think your meant to block the fan opening.

The other end is to the petrol tank, I just plan on blocking tank vents and drilling a 3mm hole in the petrol cap as a vent (like a lot of classics)
