Any chance of some friendly advice ...

I've got the standard early bay 5-wide (5-205) drums on the back of my bus but have 5-narrow (5-130 i think? or 5-125?) on the front as the previous owner converted the front to discs. I'm fed up of carrying two spare wheels around and so want to put 5-narrow on the back too.

Is this a straight forward job of swaping in some late-bay rear drums?
Or do you have to go as far back as changing the half-shaft?
Is there something to do with the splines that is different?

Any advice would be greatfully received!
Cheers,
Jon

Why dont you buy adapters to change the front? then its wide 5 all round :D I have late bay disks on the front of mine and have adapters to fit wide 5

Yes thats another option but won't it mean the front wheels are then further out than the back? Would it not look odd?
Also the adapters seem soooooo expensive for what they are and I can't find them in just a pair.

I might have a look round at Vanfest and see whats what.
Cheers mate.

No worries 8) you can buy em in pairs, just ring up the places where you have seen em and im sure they will sell you a pair 8)

I had em on mine before I changed the beam and they didnt look any different as its only a cm or so. This is a pic of mine with the adapters on.
