Hello all,

The brake lights on my camper stopped working yesterday! I have checked the bulbs and fuses so I'm guessing its the brake light switch. I have been searching the forums to find out where it is to no avail as I just can't see it when I look under the van??

Any help on this and other things to check would be a big help.

Thanks in advance, Rob

screwed into the brake master cylinder, under the bus.you'll see wires coming off it.some buses have more than one.

Cheers - Rob

get someone stood behind the van and short the wires if the lights come on then clean the contacts and try the brake pedal again if still no joy then change out the switch.....

I am assuming the bulbs and earth are good.....

Access to a voltmeter?

Thanks for the replies!

I found the switches. There are 2 and they are of the 3 pin varietey. If i short one of them out then the lights work so I guessing its the switch. Locally no one has a 3 pin switch just the 2 pin one. does anyone know if this will fit?

I connected the volt meter to it and got nothing from it. What are the 3 wires for?

The 3rd wire is for the "dual circuit brake warning light" not quite sure what it detects?
It may detect 1 circuit with pressure and the other with out and bring up the warning light on the dash board?

Sparky.
