I appreciate the offer but nowhere near you I'm afraid. I might just take it off and clean it as I need to swap the manifold for one with pre-heat anyway. Seems like the ideal time to do it.
I have come to the conclusion that the choke is never turning off even when warmed up. I have a Bocar 34 pict 3 (I know but it came with the van) and the Fast Idle cam is always in this position (not mine but a handy picture from the interwebs).
It doesn't matter if it is hot or cold it is...
I certainly did it was from the manifold boot thing. One side only had 1 clip where as the other had 2. Stuck an extra clip on it and it is now nice and non-drippy.

Put on the EMPI quick shift kit (under £6) and that sorted it right out. I have a set of bushes which I will replace as well but that was enough to be honest.
Quiet weekend on the camper van front.
Fitted the SCAT air filter I got my hands on (should have been their to start with so didn't cost me anything) which helped the engine run a lot nicer, although it did chuck a load of black stuff out the exhaust when it fired up.
Then took apart Offside...
No pictures yet but I fitted new battery terminals that actually grip on to the battery, new front seatbelts as the old ones where pretty cruddy and horrible, EMPI quick shift kit to sort the gear change out and started work on the engine.
Pictures soon.
:)
I fitted the EMPI quick shift kit and that plus some adjusting and it seems to have made a huge difference. Actually drivable now and no accidental reverse selection.
Happy days
