looking at raising the rear of my engine by about 2"... been told people who put a t4 in an early bay use engine mounts that when used with early support bar on early bay - holds the engine 2" higher than standard... can anyone tell me a bit more about this?? thanks

i want to go low..really low but do it properly and not mess up my bus...would have thought that even someone who doesn't like slammed busses would approve of doing it properly? nice one for the link mate..i've sent him a pm asking for some info thanks

engine gearbox and tank are out of my 68 bay... there is a pivot point where the gearbox joins the tube that runs the length of the van...it seems to me that if i raised the engine mounts a few inches then the gearbox would pivot and all would be good!? raising the gearbox at the pivot end may...

sorted i just drilled out the latch rivets and carefully tapped the latch out with a small hammer ...then slid the later type latches in - was easier than replacing whole 1/4 window - plus wanted to keep the original glass anyway... thanks

hi ..thanks for reply....they were definately a different style of latch - in the end i just drilled out the two rivets holding the latch assembly to the window frame - tapped out with a small hamer - and replaced with pin type assembly off some spare windows i had lying around - vwheritage were...
