I spoke to VW heritage today and they insist that there is only 1 size. I tried to put a clip in one of the door holes without the rubber bung and it was still almost impossible. anybody else got any ideas?

i got the door cards, bungs and clips all from VW heritage. I assume they are right but I will call tomorrow and see what they have to say.

Isn't it always the way, the jobs you think will be easy never quite work out that way? I have just taken delivery of my new TMI door cards and seat covers, started fitting them this evening. I have replaced the rubber plugs in the door and have found that the metal clip which goes on the door...

I am refinishing an early devon interion, I've taken it right back to the wood (solid oak & veneer). Its quite light and I would like to return it to the rich orange brown. Any advise on what to use? I've tried light oak and medium oak stain but neither are right. Any help much appreciated.

I understand that Creative engineering do a rack and pinion set up for early bays at about £550. Would this not be a good upgrade considering the cost of a reconditioned steering box and all the other components that could have wear.
