    123 Ignition distributor.

No, I didn't get the vac model as I may end up sticking it on other vehicles and both my cars run twin Dell's so I didn't want the hassle of having to find a vacum supply and pulse valves etc. I don't know my engine number, its not stamped on, plus the old distributer was an aftermarket...

    123 Ignition distributor.

Just fitted one to my Bus. Forgot what I normally time it to first of all so first test drive was a bit flat but once I set it to 7.5 BTDC it drove much better. Lost the flat spot, smoother accelaration, nice tickover. Once I've done more driving and set the carbs up a little better I'll report...

    Hello, I'm new.

Seeing as it was my Bus's birthday on the 1st of the month I bought it a present. Can you tell what it is? Slightly bigger clue!! Here it is fitted. Drives better, lost the flat spots. I timed it to TDC first, forgot it should be 7.5BTDC. Running better now I've...

Been fitting my new garage door today and

Do you have a full tank of fuel? If you loose any weight it could get close!!! You need some weights to put in the van when your storing it. :D

    Plymouth Volksfest 2009

I'm the one in the middle looking over my shoulder while grabbing more cake!!! To much cake not enough time, sorry if I didn't say hello. More of the shows we visit will now be having cake competitions, some of them were amazing. I had a great weekend. :D

    Hello, I'm new.

I'll buy one if I see one for sale. If I see a van donning one I'll ask where he purchased it or if he knows anyone selling one. Cheers :D

GREED is going to kill this scene

I've sourced parts for my Bus from outside of the scene. I went straight to the scrap yard for my seats, took them out myself. I found anti pulse valves for vacum dizzy's from avonbar, a mini shop, are nearly £3 cheaper. I found someone to do the welding who just is good at it and doesn't...

    Leisure Battery in a Microbus

I wanted a picture of it anyway so just went and took these. The wire sticking out of the box on the top right is the lead to the amp that I plug my phone or an ipod into to play music. I don't have a head unit. Works for me.

    Leisure Battery in a Microbus

I've built a speaker box between the seats, put an amp in the base, 2 6x9's, a baking tin to put "stuff" in, a remote switch (for amp) and two lighter sockets. Its low enough to climb over and far enough back to plug a DVD player in for the little-un in the back back seats. I ran the power...

    Hello, I'm new.

I've removed the 009 that I had fitted to get my Dell's up and running. I fitted the stock vacum dizzy and used a length of 3mm vacum pipe with a variety of tight bends in it to even out the pulsing from the vacum port. So far so good. The Bus is driving ok and currently all set for towing the...

    Cooling your engine.

You can get smaller pulleys which will turn the fan quicker. Driving a bit slower and not thrashing your engine is the best way to keep the temperature down. I drive at 55-60 and have never had temperature issues, even towing a caravan to Vanwest from deepest Cornwall in a stock Bay with twin...

    shit my panse

I spent a morning polishing my MKII golf GTI before heading over to Newquay for a run to the sun cruise about 8 years ago, sat at a junction in town and the lorry in front of me started reversing to turn a different way, I looked in mirror, loads of cars, jump on the horn and he hits me with the...

    Vanwest

Don't worry, I had many doubters here as well. haha I had faith and made sure I didn't push the engine to hard. Its only going to be used for about 4 or 5 showers a year and a couple of weekends close to home. It didn't cost much either.

    Hello, I'm new.

Well, the 36's are fine and working. Towed this to Vanwest. Had a good weekend. 8) Plymfest soon. Come say Hi if you see our convoy.

    Vanwest

Tents are all well and good and sleeping in the van is fine but mines a microbus and a nervous 4 year old needed something a bit more solid to call her bed for the night. I'm having trouble getting used to having all 3 of us in one room, she's a really noisey sleeper, but its comfy and warm...

    Vanwest

We went, it was the little-uns first holiday in the Bus. Towed this with the Bay. Everyone seemed surprised that it would pull it and I'm only running a stock 1600 with twin 36's on it. We try hard to keep weight to a minimum though. Never pushed it over 55 unless down hill and then no more...

    Hello, I'm new.

Thanks for all the Hello's. :D I've had a bit of a mare fitting my twin Dell's recently so gave up on fitting them and took the two off my beach buggy project, cleaned those and fitted them. It seemed to drive ok as they were also untested but rather than continuing to mess around on my own...

    Hello, I'm new.

Hi Johnny, sorry for starting a "I'm new" thread, I saw the sticky one not long after posting mine!! Couldn't see one for looking!! Or a riders rides section. I'll find more I've missed I'm sure. Cheers

    Can you chrome wheels?

Do you have a compressor? A cheap sandblast gun and a couple of bags of sand won't cost you much. Make up a box with some pallets and some plastic and an old bath and you can reuse the sand. A place near me that quarries the sand and dries it sells it for £2.50 a bag!! Borrow a compressor or...
