I've removed the 009 that I had fitted to get my Dell's up and running. I fitted the stock vacum dizzy and used a length of 3mm vacum pipe with a variety of tight bends in it to even out the pulsing from the vacum port.
So far so good. The Bus is driving ok and currently all set for towing the Caravan to Plymfest on Friday.
Woohoo.
Come say Hi if you see me.

I'll buy one if I see one for sale.
If I see a van donning one I'll ask where he purchased it or if he knows anyone selling one.

Cheers

Drives better, lost the flat spots. I timed it to TDC first, forgot it should be 7.5BTDC.
Running better now I've changed it but the carbs need looking at. Rich I think.
I checked the inlet manifolds by spraying a load of WD40 on the base of them and nothing happened.
I want to check the exhaust as well for leaks but I just think it needs some tuning.
Still, no more points or condensors, woohoo!!

Fitted a bluebird customs stainless stock style exhaust today.
Its quieter but still a little tinny, I'm hoping it will soot up and quieten down a little.
I still have a little bit of a back fire I think, I may remove the Dell's and fit new gaskets to the inlet manifolds and see if that sorts it but could it be caused by running rich as well?
I don't want to fiddle with the mixture screws to much as I don't have a syn-gauge but any tips?
